Surface Medical Spa was founded by and is supervised by Dr. David Branch of Bangor Plastic & Hand Surgery. Dr. Branch is a board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon with additional training in micro, hand and migraine surgery. Dr. Branch opened Bangor Plastic & Hand Surgery in the year 2000, focusing mostly on breast augmentations, tummy tucks, face lifts, and other typical cosmetic surgeries. Over time he added other services to his practice including Botox, fillers, and laser treatments. To better serve the demands of his patients, in 2006 Dr. Branch expanded even more into aesthetics and skincare by adding a licensed Aesthetician and then later an Aesthetic Technician. By then it became apparent that there was an ever growing demand for "medical spa" services, so at the beginning of 2009 he opened Surface Medical Spa!

Darlene Teeto, FNP-C, RNFA
Nurse Practitioner
Darlene has six and a half years experience in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, prior to her move to the Bangor area. She is trained in Botox®, dermal fillers, sclerotherapy, and multiple forms of laser treatments, as well as light therapies.
Darlene grew up in Niagara Falls, NY where she earned her nursing degree in 1987. She came to Bangor, ME in 2001 where she worked at Eastern Maine Medical Center as a Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) in several surgical specialties such as cardiac, orthopedic, thoracic, and general. In 2004 she completed her Masters degree in Nursing at the University of Phoenix and 2007 completed a Post Masters Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Husson University.
Chantal Clark, LA
Aesthetician
Chantal is trained and skilled in today's most effective treatments, including skin peels, Microdermabrasion, IPL, photorejuvenation, laser hair removal and Fraxel® laser treatments. She is committed to helping patients reach their goals, whether it's through services she offers or though a referral to Dr. Branch for cosmetic treatments and/or procedures. Chantal specializes in skin care analysis and the design of individualized skin care programs. She can also create a treatment plan that is unique to each individual's needs and goals.
Chantal is a graduate of the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis and has worked in the field of plastic surgery since 2001. She looks forward to being your partner on your journey toward healthier skin.
Stephanie Dow, CMA
Skin Care Technician
Stephanie is a trained and certified provider of Fraxel® Laser treatments, Lumenis One Laser treatments, and Omnilux® light therapy, as well as a variety of skin care treatments including chemical peels. Stephanie has just recently trained on Xtreme Lash extension applications. In addition, she has 7 years experience in the medical field, several of which were associated with medical aesthetics. Stephanie, a Certified Medical Assistant, has Associate Degrees in Medical Administrative Assisting and Office Management, as well as formal skin care training from La Roche-Posay and Obagi.
Samantha Davis, LMT
Massage Therapist
Samantha is a well trained licensed massage therapist specializing in deep tissue massage. She is also trained in many different massage modalities such as Swedish, Pre-natal, trigger point therapy, reiki, and many more. She graduated from Pierre's in Bangor Maine. Previous to joining the Surface Medical Spa team she was a traveling masseuse and worked at a salon in eastern Maine. She looks forward to speaking with you about the many benefits of massage therapy and what would be best for you.
